Did you recently purchase a colon cleanser and are wondering now if it’s actually working? If you’ve been using it for more than a week, there should be some noticeable differences by now.
Are you having more bowel movements than you were before using the colon cleanser?
This obviously will be one of the first things you should notice. A good colon cleanser should have bulking fibers and other natural aids that should be now be helping you to have more regular bowel movements.
What do the stools look like?
I’m sure when you researched the colon cleanser you were probably subjected to all sorts of disgusting photos of bowel movements. So, if your stool likes a creature from outer space, I suppose you’re on the right track. But what if it doesn’t?
Well, this could be for one of two reasons: your colon didn’t have the same amount of build up; the colon cleanser you purchased doesn’t contain the same ingredients that may have changed the way the other stools looked.
It’s okay. The important thing to remember here is that a normal healthy stool should happen at least every day if not two to three times a day and it should be one long soft stool that drops when it hits the water. If your colon cleanser is working, this should be the type of stool you are seeing.
I know that sounds gross, but the fact is that if stool is small and hard, ribbon like, floats or sinks too quickly, then you are still not having normal bowel movements and the colon cleanser you purchased may not be working.
Have you been following a healthier diet while taking the colon cleanser?
Sure, many colon cleansers are designed to be used without having to change much of your diet. Others, however, say so right on the package that diet will need to be modified. Make sure to reread the package instructions and figure out which type you’ve purchased.
After a few weeks, have your energy levels increased?
One of the problems with poor colon health is the fact that the body toxins from the built-up fecal matter travel to the rest of your body causing all sorts of symptoms; fatigue being one of them. After a week of using your colon cleanser, you should be feeling a lot better in terms of energy levels.
This is also due to the fact that because your digestive system should be running much more efficiently, nutrient absorption should have increased thus allowing for more energy as well. Your colon cleanser should have included nutritional support as well.
That being said, if there are other problems contributing to your low energy levels, a colon cleanser may not be able to cover everything. Certain illnesses of course are possible, but so many Americans are sleep deprived, you should first look at your sleeping habits.
As well, if you’ve continued to drink too much alcohol or smoke cigarettes while using the colon cleanser you may not be benefiting as much if you gave those things up. If the fatigue continues even after you’ve made this adjustment, you might consider seeing your physician to be evaluated for other problems such as hypothyroidism.
How’s your hair and skin looking these days?
After awhile, your hair should be fuller and shinier. Your skin should be more radiant. These changes take a bit, but if your colon cleanser is working properly and you’re supporting yourself nutritiously otherwise, your hair and skin should be showing some improvements.
If after making some adjustments and trying the colon cleanser for the specified period of time you are still feeling just as crummy as you did before, then you should probably look into another colon cleanser. There are some good ones out there, so don’t give up on using a colon cleanser.
