I suppose that doesn’t sound very nice, and I surely don’t mean it as an insult. But it could very well be the God’s honest truth! Body toxins are real and they could be the cause of hundreds of ailments. Have you been suffering from any of the following? Allergies Bad Breath Constipation Diarrhea Frequent congestion Frequent headaches General aches & pains Low energy Loss of vitality Lower back pain Low libido Abdominal pain Increased PMS symptoms Vaginal infections Skin problems such as rashes, boils, pimples You may attribute some of the above to poor diet, exercise and sleep habits. Certainly if any of these problems are serious enough, you should most certainly see a physician. Body toxins, however, may be the underlying reasons to all of your medical troubles. Poor diet can lead to nutrient deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, obesity, type II diabetes, cancers and fatigue just to name a few. Inactivity and a sedentary lifestyle can lead to many, many troubles. Lack of sleep is common and exacerbates all of the above. This is all true; however, your problems are probably much deeper. Body toxins! Body toxins build up in the body beginning in the colon and spreading to every system in our body. These body toxins are responsible for a number of problems. When our nervous system is affected by body toxins, we can feel irritable and depressed. Sluggishness can occur when the body toxins affect our hearts. If you have relatively good oral health and oral health practices, yet you still notice foul breath, this may be due to body toxins that have reached the lungs. The skin can show signs of body toxins when rashes, boils and pimples seem to become more prevalent. How does this happen? Well, first it starts with what we put into our bodies and then ultimately, what just doesn’t come out! Americans eat more junk than any other country. One finding by the U.S. Department of Agriculture found that the average American consumes the equivalent of 52 teaspoons of sugar a day. You may be wondering how that could possibly be when you know you don’t consume candy all day nor do you go to the sugar canister and take spoonfuls. The problem is that most of the food the average American consumes is loaded with refined sugars and devoid of important nutrients such as fiber. Through time, all of that sugar in white breads, crackers and snack foods adds up! Because we eat so poorly and don’t consume nearly the right amount of fiber found in fruits, vegetables and whole grains, there is a hugely negative effect on the digestive system. Our colon is simply not able to bulk the stool properly for thorough elimination. Overtime this can lead to chronic constipation and diarrhea issues. Worse yet is the long term effect it has on the colon itself and then the rest of the body. This is where the body toxins come into play. The colon becomes lined with garbage and body toxins. The body toxins eventually back up through the rest of our system. This is the process called autointoxication. Body toxins are a serious issue. Switching to a healthier diet will help, but more needs to be done.
